Byrdie Lane – Pre-Loved Fashion Consignment Boutique

Stored is now permanently closed.

Byrdie Lane is a consignment boutique located in Port Adelaide, offering pre-loved fashion and local labels. Founded by Brydie, who works in store with stylists Gabby and Tara, the consignment boutique operates on the rent-a-rack format.

For $69 per week, sellers can rent a rack to sell their items. Once you’ve booked a rack, you add price tags to each item which you want to sell and then bring in all your items to the boutique. The benefit for seller is that it takes out the work of photographing and shipping each individual item as each sale is made.

As you make your way to Brydie Lane, the storefront is inviting, with its open glass and minimalistic store layout as you walk towards the entrance.

When you first step inside, the store feels and looks like a high-end boutique, with ample space between each of the racks. You can shop at your own pace and not feel rushed, browsing through each piece leisurely with intention.

Amongst the various racks, you’ll find a selection of low, middle, and higher end labels, such as CUE, Keepsake, Country Road, Bassike, C/Meo Collective, Witchery, Mimco, and a variety of vintage items as well.

In addition to their pre-loved collection, emerging designers have the opportunity to partner with Brydie Lane, who provides a space in the physical store to display and sell their pieces.

If you decide to try on a potential piece which you’re thinking about taking home, you’ll feel right at home in the change rooms. They are aesthetically pleasing, with large mirrors and lots of space for seeing how the piece makes you look and feel.

If you find that you do not find anything to your liking on your first visit to Brydie Lane, I’d recommend returning at another time, as the beauty of the rent-a-rack format is that the racks change fairly frequently, which means there are new pieces to discover every week or fortnight.

As the boutique is spacious, Brydie Lane also runs workshops on an occasional basis, such as watercolour and styling workshops. You can have a look on their website for upcoming workshops.

Stop by Brydie Lane, enjoy some pre-loved fashion shopping, have lunch at one of the surrounding local businesses, and head on over to Semaphore beach as a day out.

Location: 98 Commercial Road, Port Adelaide, 5015 South Australia.
